Please read below for some price guidelines.
Inspection
A quick strip down of an instrument to ensure that all is working properly. A leak light is used and a full test of all notes in all octaves is played. Neil can then tell you what may need fixing and the cost of the repair. The inspection is particularly useful to recently bought second hand instruments, instruments not played for years, or an instrument that has fallen over.
All Instruments £10
Small and quick Fixes/Dents/Broken sections
This includes any specific problem that you would like Neil to look at. This price is a guide as many different instrument fixes fall into this category. It could be a note that isn’t playing correctly, a few keys not working, minor bends, leaked pads etc.
Saxophone (£15-£55 rough guideline)
Clarinet (£15-£45 rough guideline)
Flute (£10-£40 rough guideline)
Standard Service
Includes: Checking of leaked pads, springs, screws, tenons and rods checked for bends, rust and general flexibility – any of these in need of replacement will be replaced included in this cost, instrument cleaned, small dents removed from bodywork, check of regulations in octave and other problem areas e.g G-G# key areas on saxophone and Db keywork on flute. All done as needed.
Low and high notes checked individually, tuning checked, instrument played with own mouthpiece to ensure no further problems. All action tightened up. Instrument specific checks included - ask for details

Full Overhaul Service
Includes standard service plus:
Instrument is stripped down, pads, keys, springs, rods & screws are replaced, Dents removed from body of instrument. Any broken parts are replaced with new ones. Tenons replaced, Regulation on the instrument is checked, all springs are reset and balanced. Corks and felts are replaced as standard. All action tightened up. Instrument cleaned and played with own mouthpiece to check balance, action and playability of all notes.

IMPORTANT: With a full overhaul service, the instrument is completely stripped, and built up again from scratch with new pads, felt and cork added on all parts of the instrument – with this option your instrument is like new.
